Here at the Plough we’re keen on small producers, and behind the bar, as well as all the usual favourites, you’ll find a selection of craft ales, a wine list that includes some award-winning locally produced vintages, and a treasure trove of small batch gins and single malts. We’re always open to suggestions too, so if you have a favourite tipple you’d like us to include, please let us know.
At the rear of the barn, just before the beer garden, you’ll find the Leith Hill Brewery – The Plough’s own microbrewery, run by head brewer Antoine Josserand. Established in 1996, the Leith Hill Brewery uses traditional methods and 100% natural ingredients. So far, we’ve created 3 charismatic real ales, which are available either at the bar, or in bottles to take away.
Crooked Furrow is a refreshing, dark amber session bitter, delighting the senses with herbal and piney notes, accompanying a gentle malt base to finish on a smooth and rounded bitterness.
Surrey Puma is a 4.9% Stout with a velvety mouth feel, delighting the senses with coffee overtones and leaving you with a smooth liquorice finish on a gentle bitterness. Surrey Puma is vegan friendly and brewed using 100% British hops.
Smiler's Happiness American Pale Ale. A summer thirst quencher with light citrus notes, in memory of John "Smiler" Steele.
